Part 2: Describe a time when you felt stressed or mentally exhausted.

One period when I felt extremely stressed and mentally exhausted was during an important academic period when I had to balance schoolwork, examinations, extracurricular responsibilities, and future planning at the same time. It happened when my schedule became very intense and I was constantly trying to meet high expectations in both studying and personal development. At that time, I was sleeping less, spending long hours studying, and worrying continuously about academic performance and future goals.

The main cause of the stress was the pressure of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Besides regular classes and assignments, I also wanted to maintain strong academic results and improve my English skills for future educational and career opportunities. In addition, thinking constantly about university plans and long-term goals created emotional pressure because I wanted everything to go perfectly. Over time, the combination of physical fatigue and mental pressure gradually became overwhelming.

During that period, I noticed several negative effects on my mental health and daily routine. I became more emotionally sensitive, less motivated, and mentally tired even after resting. My concentration also decreased because I was constantly thinking about unfinished work and upcoming responsibilities. I think many students experience similar situations because modern academic environments can become extremely competitive and demanding.

To deal with the stress, I started making several changes to my lifestyle and daily routine. First, I tried to organize my schedule more realistically instead of overloading myself with too many tasks in a single day. I also began prioritizing sleep and taking short breaks between study sessions because continuous studying without rest reduced my productivity significantly. In addition, listening to music, exercising lightly, and talking to close friends helped me relax emotionally and reduce anxiety. Emotional support from people around me was especially valuable during that time.

Another important lesson I learned was the importance of work-life balance and self-care. Previously, I believed that constantly working harder was always the best solution, but I later realized that mental health directly affects concentration, productivity, and long-term performance. Ignoring emotional well-being can eventually reduce both motivation and efficiency. I think success becomes more sustainable when people maintain healthy routines and realistic expectations.

Overall, that stressful period taught me many important lessons about mental health, balance, and self-management. Although the experience was emotionally difficult, it helped me become more aware of the importance of rest, emotional support, and healthy coping strategies. I believe stressful experiences can become valuable learning opportunities if people learn how to manage pressure more effectively in the future.
