It also supports the development of a skilled workforce, enabling nations to compete in an increasingly knowledge-based global economy. Furthermore, scientific research provides solutions to major issues such as climate change, disease prevention, and energy shortages. Through continued investment in research and education, governments can encourage the contribution to economic growth and strengthen their country's international competitiveness. For these reasons, science education undoubtedly deserves substantial public funding.

However, prioritizing science at the expense of other subjects would be a mistake. The importance of humanities and social sciences should not be underestimated, as these disciplines help develop informed citizens and effective leaders. Subjects such as history, literature, and philosophy contribute to the promotion of cultural awareness and ethics, which are essential for social cohesion and responsible decision-making. In addition, many non-science disciplines support the development of communication and critical thinking skills, both of which are highly valued in modern workplaces. A society requires teachers, lawyers, policymakers, and artists alongside scientists and engineers. Therefore, maintaining a balanced education system is crucial for meeting the diverse needs of a nation.

In conclusion, although science education is essential for technological and economic advancement, I do not believe it should be prioritized above all other subjects. Governments should instead invest in a balanced education system that recognizes the contributions of multiple academic disciplines.
