Nations with a strong work ethic may also attract foreign investment, further accelerating economic development. As a result, longer working hours can play a role in improving national prosperity and living standards.

On the other hand, excessive working hours often create serious social problems. One major issue is poor work-life balance, as employees have less time to spend with family and friends. This can lead to reduced time for family relationships and weaker social connections. Furthermore, long working hours are associated with increased stress and mental health problems, especially when workers face constant pressure to meet demanding targets. Over time, health issues caused by overwork may emerge, including fatigue, sleep disorders, and burnout. These problems not only reduce individual well-being but can also weaken community engagement and overall social cohesion.

In conclusion, I largely support the view that countries with longer working hours often achieve greater economic success.
