Another benefit is the preservation of local culture and traditions, as visitors are frequently interested in experiencing authentic customs and cultural activities. Therefore, tourism can support both economic growth and cultural sustainability.

However, tourism may also cause certain problems if it is not properly controlled. One concern is environmental damage to fragile ecosystems, especially when large numbers of tourists visit sensitive natural areas.
